The departure is imminent because the road is long with a short passage in Tbilissi. Georgia is a modern country which displays an astonishing cultural heritage in a kaleidoscope of imprints and influences sometimes secular.<\/p><p>After having crossed the folds of the Caucasus mountains, the car stops in Tskaltubo, imperial and decadent city, which flows its thermal waters in the few buildings still in activity.<br \/>The town has become quieter as the establishments have closed. Families of refugees, victims of the internal wars of secession, have repopulated the requisitioned hotels where the past seems to be merged with the present.<\/p><p>Under the spectre of an extinguished glory, a handful of artists and dancers have taken over vacant premises in a desire to make their ideas survive.<br \/>Among them works Natia CHIKVAIDZE, dancer and choreographer. Like many artists, she carries within her the heritage of a people in reconstruction at the crossroads of new<span class=\"bcTruncateMore\"> aspirations.<br \/>She feels the need to remain in movement. She claims her resistance and her modernity within an institution almost condemned to tradition.<br \/>Her choreography moves in the disused thermal baths, stripped of all splendor, testifying to a bygone era, almost in suspension as if the places were waiting for history to pick up where it left off.<br \/>It is within this abandoned and obsolete architecture that she raises the question of the admissibility of women &#8211; in a country where the struggles are multiple &#8211; free to think and make decisions.<br \/>Being a woman and dancing is already an act of conflict in a static society, according to the dancer. The gesture is an imposture in this frozen architecture. The setting in movement in this historical artifact is impeded.
